Jason Varone was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1976. After moving around the country as a child, Jason returned to New York to study fine art in 1998. Experimenting with painting and video became Jason's focus. He was greatly influenced by his Professor Peter Campus while receiving his Master's Degree from New York University, which he completed in 2003. Jason currently lives and works in Brooklyn. His work has been exhibited at Art in General in New York, The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art and the Boston Center for the Arts. He received a Finishing Funds 2006 award from the Experimental Television Center. www.varonearts.org
